Hi Everyone,
I'm Bill k a blind guy from Philadelphia. I'm particularly interested in reading with the stream and the nls player. I enjoy baseball, I especially like the Phillies and the Cardinals, the new york teams and the Chicago teams.
I'm also interested in scanners especially the portable ones and wonder if any radio stuff is discussed around here.

I enjoy reading the Bible and have 2 talking bibles.

I'm a user of tuneup utilities and would be interested in knowing if any of you use that software, and some of the hints and tips that you've found with it.
Oh, i'm also interested in radio airchecks and jingles too.
enjoy your day.
Bill K.

Hi Daniel,
I'm beginning to get my see legs under me where this system is concerned. I'm used to the old systems that had a lot of menus that you could follow, so this is definitely new to me.

Oh, one question, I had been a member here quite some time ago, and I guess that all those old records are probably gone, wouldn't you figure? I gave my real name, and nothing came up, and I don't even begin to remember what my screen name could have been. Sny ideas?
thanks,
bill K.

Hi Daniel,
are you the guy who lives in england if I'm not asking too much? If so, I'm glad that you're here. there sure seems to be quite a bit of craziness around here which seems to be a good place for us both to fit in, right?

I hope you enjoy the site. It's a fun place to be. It's not perfect, by any means, but it sure has given me hours and hours of entertainment.

Welcome to the site, Bill. My name is Becky, and I live in Ohio.
I'm glad you seem to be figuring out the message board system and how to post in the appropriate categories. I think you should check out some of the topic categories that are geared to talking about adaptive equipment and computers. There might even be one for talking about radios, though I'm not sure about that since that particular topic doesn't interest me.

AS for trying to find your old user name, gry going to the user profile page and have it sort by state. Once you find people from Pennsylvania, you might be able to find your old name.

Hi Beckie,
to be quite honest with you, I think that my being on the zone goes so far back that it probably was when I was in Colorado, and i really can find other ways to get a headache than looking for my old name, but thanks anyway, one of these days, I'll just have to see if I can find anyone from colorado.
I left Denver in 2000, and am now here in Philly, and to be really honest with you, I don't know just how far back that goes, it could have been from my Pennsylvania days, or maybe from my colorado days. and to tell you the truth, I didn't use it very much at all, so I bet that my old ID was long since yanked.
Take care,
Bill

Hi Bill

They never yank anyone's username from this site. It has something to do with not wanting to mess up the numbering system. People do have their accounts disabled because they break the terms of service, but even those people don't have their user names yanked.

Hi everyone,
i have a question, is there any way that you can not get information about the phone and how you should call?
thanks,
Bill

Welcome aboard, Bill, Been here 3 plus years myself, and though there's lots of the population here are grown up with the social networking things, there's also others of us that are totally familiar with what it means to learn to navigate these waterways.
I am also a amateur radio operator, but mainly for emergency services and in tandem with my volunteer Coast Guard duties, so I tend to do more learning than contributing when it comes to discussions about two-way radios. But I have learned a lot about the apps for the iOS devices and amateur radio if that interests. We perhaps should someone make a board for this topic. Not too many of the younger population get into it, it seems: Most the really good ones are closer to my father's age - I'm early 40s. But there's several on here with a lot of experience in amateur and other radio.
